Good morning,

Wonderful tank for sure! However, the tapping bothers me and I think it bothered the fish a bit too. Notice the fish did not swim all the way over to him. Maybe he was just tapping for the sake of the media being there.

My fish, all they have to do is see me and they are ready to eat.

Ken

Ha ha, yes I think you're right Ken. If my betta is hiding in his plants and dosent see me there, I will do a very gentle tap once, but once he sees me its game on .

At the zoo (where I volunteer in the aquarium), the tawney nurse shark, who's a cave dweller, knows it's feeding time when he feels the vibration of you walking the stairs to the top of the aquarium. The other fish (sharks, rays, triggers and a huge grouper) have learned that too, and I might have to do a few large 'steps' to get their attention so that the all come to the feeding area and noone misses out!

That tank is heavily planted, and angels are clever, maybe a little tap is needed to get their attention if they don't see him wandering over with today's food.

Awesome angels, I think I have a blue one like those. That's a huge tank, stuffed with plants... my kind of tank!

Huge tank, the plants are standing out of the water? What kind of plants are they? And as for the tapping, it wasn't very gentle I thought there should be no flash photography around fish tanks?

But the angels were beautiful; wish I could have seen them more closely.
