Am I set for leaving on vacation?

I’m leaving from Friday night to Wednesday. I should I do water changes Friday morning? I have 6 tanks one of which is a fry tank. I have 2 automatic feeders and one is going on the fry tank. I have a betta tank, and tank with tetras mostly, and tank with tetras and an angel, a South American cichlid tank and an African cichlid tank. Which tank should I put the automatic feeder on? Also, do I need to feed my other fish? I can have someone feed them if I portion out what they should feed and it would be once every other day. Also, I have 2 planted tanks that don’t have timers and one that does. What do I do about the lights?

Ok so just leave them? What about the tanks without timers?

How long since your last water change on the various tanks? I've gone up to 2 weeks between changes on my 20 gallon freshwater with no issues aside from some extra algae.

Fish can do pretty well on short rations. For the tanks without automatic feeders, I would get some dissolving feeder blocks and drop those in when you leave. You can do 3-day or 14-day, either should be fine.

I'd see if there's a way get the untimed lights onto a timer, possibly loop them into your current ones or go buy some more. Leaving lights on or off constantly will stress the plants and cause some issues.

Ok thanks. It’s been since Sunday. I could get the person to turn the lights on and off. Do you think if I just leave the tanks without timers off the plants will be fine? They are hardy plants and aren’t very heavily planted

5 days with no light is going to be very hard on the plants. If you've got someone who can turn their lights on/off for you, get them to do that for every planted tank.
