Am i gonna be a grandfather?

I'm excited and a little scared because not only am I new to Fishlore but I think two of my platies are pregnant. Morning ( lol ridiculous name I know, but she's a sunset platy) and Minnie (blue platy). I know one of them had a baby because when I was doing a water change a found a fry chilling. it's hard to tell whom it belongs to since I had only one male and like 4 females. another thing is that Junior (baby name) looks orange but Minnie was the one Big Papa mated with.

there is that thing where "oh yea platy might be pregnant when you buy them and blahblahblah" and yea long story short

No, unless I've horribly misunderstood how this whole animal reproduction thing works I'm pretty sure their grandfather is another platy...

 

Platy breeding is the easiest thing to do I once had 3 Platys when I started fishkeeping now I have a 60 litre tank full of Platys and they're all home reared! There is nothing to be scared about

 

so my fishies aren't pregnant? lol it's fun being a grandparent/parent to Junior

If a female platy has a dark patch by the analfin then yes they're pregnant
