Anyone know of an app or website similar to aqadvisor? Ive had a very difficult time using the aqadvisor site without it crashing and trying to sell me antI virus software.

Following, as everything else found uses the inch per gallon rule of thumb.

FYI, aqadvisor is better on a desktop.

Unfortunately, I have phones, tablets, and smart tv's, but I do not have a desktop. Looking for something a bit more accurate than the inch/gallon rule. I really like aqadvisor, but it doesn't work well on my phone at all. I can sometimes input 2 fish before it freezes up.

Does your phone have an option where you can view the desktop version of a site instead of the mobile? On an iPhone you go to the address bar and scroll down on the favorites/frequently visited pop-up thing, I don't know how it works on any other type of phone though.

Have you tried using ad blockers? Might make it easier..
As far as I know, the next best option is to ask more experienced fish keepers (like those here).

What is this rule? 1 inch per gallon?

An outdated stocking technique. The logic is you can have 10 total inches of adult sized fish in a 10 gallon tank, but I would not put one single 10 inch fish in a 10g.

Same here its full of malware. Pop up blockers etc are turned on but I still get redirected to a malicious site that's trying to install things on my device.

I learned that if you let the entire page load before you touch anything, you won't get redirected. But it's a hassle and id just like to mess around with stocking ideas.

Apparently many people are using aqadvisor just fine, surely we aren't the only 2 having this problem

I was searching for alternatives too, that's how I found this thread. Did you find anything?

In some browsers there its the option to stop websites from loading pop-ups.
Try the avast antivirus browser plug-in.

After using this site on my laptop, I had zero issues. No redirecting or malware. FYI
