Almond Leaf And Betta

Hey everyone!

I just had a quick question about my betta and his almond leaf. He's had one for 3-4 months now and I change it once it gets degraded. it lays (almost) flat on the bottom but my betta loves to squish himself under it, he has to go fully sideways to fit. Is he just having fun? or should I provide him with more hiding places?
he had a mountain in the centre of the tank 3 three openings for him to swim in and out of and he loves that too. I also notice him squishing himself between his live tall plant and glass and stays there for a bit upside down. Is he just playing around with his plants?

any insight on this would be interesting! thanks!

I have one of those silicone anemone decorations and my betta loves it! He sticks his face in it, swims through it, sometimes even lays in it.

When I first got all mine I turned on lights one morning and 11 of them were stuffed into the plants in all kinds of weird ways. I thought they all died. Lol.

Hi,
Bettas are VERY curious, they love to investigate. And if there is a tiny hole anywhere they will try to go through it!
I hang my Indian almond leaf (IAL) on the side of the tank with a suction cup. They sit on top of the suction cup and swim/hide between the leaf and glass.
I try to pour water slow during PWC but if I'm heavy handed they have found refuge behind the leaf.
