Im curious to know what other peoples favorite Aquatic plant is! I can finally say that after 2 years with over 15+ plants, my all time favorite has to be "Cryptocoryne walkeri var. lutea" I just find it so cute how they sprout a single leaf.

Does anyone else have a favorite plant? im curious to know plus i would love to get some ideas for new plants as well!

anubias its unkillable, as long as you don't bury the rhizome, fish don't seem to eat it (mbuna, plecos etc.) and it takes like a year or more to double in size, so low maintenance.

I love my crested java ferns because of how quickly they multiply, and how resilient they are. I have so many crested java fern babies in all my tanks, from just 2 small plants I bought at Petco a few months back.

Anubias nana, Taxiphyllum barbieri, Microsorum pteropus and Lemnoideae. Can't choose one. These plants are all unkillable and are super pretty/natural. Many people hate lemnoideae (duckweed) though, but I love how fast it grows!

Hello! So I’m putting together an order on marcus fish tanks and I was wondering what your favorite plants are. I’m definitely getting some monte carlo and mini bolbitus but I was dismayed to see that there was no option for hydrocotyle other than a large mat which I won’t be needing as it was on my wishlist for details. So I have a little room in my budget for another plant. I figured I would ask to see what your favorites are!

My faves are subwassertang, christmas moss, and petite anubias. Tiger lilies are great if you have the space.

I also really love the look of s. repens and bonsai rotala, but they both do rather poorly in low-tech setups.

My all-time favorite plant for scapes is bolbitis heidelotii. You’ll need a decent amount of space, but I find that it fits into nearly any scape. It’s slow growing and algae-prone at first, but as soon as it settles in it takes off. It starts to grow super fast and fills any space that you allow it to. It’s easy to trim and control, so you can keep it small and compact or let it get huge and bushy. It can also adjust to pretty much any water conditions with little fuss. I’ve grown it in both African cichlid tanks and blackwater setups with no fuss. This is really just me ranting about my favorite aquarium plant, but if you have a big tank with the space I would definitely recommend it.

S. Repens. It's very versatile and pretty easy to care for. I also like crypt parva and crypt wendtii.

I honestly love java fern. A huge forest of it just looks amazing and it's so easy to grow and maintain!
