hello,
i started a 5g tank with cherry and golden back shrimps abt 5 weeks ago. and 2 weeks ago added 6 tiger shrimps. the red and golden are ok. but the tiger shrimps has since all died. i read online and many articles i read seems to say that they are ok to to be kept together as in similar water paramenters. any one have experince/advice with the tiger shrimps? love them, wanted to get some more but afraid there is sometime i didnt do and they all died again.
thanks

Putting any shrimp in a tank that's only 3 weeks old is disastrous especially a 5g
It takes 3 months at least before you should try
You should also be taking ph,gh,kh,ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, tests regular until the cycle is done and things stabilise

Think I will get some benefitial bacteria to speed up the cycle

While it's important to have a fully cycled tank for shrimp, they also need biofilm to graze on. I don't know of any way to speed up that process. Since you already have shrimp in the tank you can hope for the best, but I'd like to encourage you to wait until the tank has been running for at least 3 months before adding any more.

Also, I believe the tiger shrimp are caridinas, while your other shrimp are neocaridinas? I'm not sure about that, because when I googled tiger shrimp it was all about edible shrimp, but if yes, their water parameters have only a small overlap. I would discourage an inexperienced shrimp keeper from trying to keep both in the same tank.

For biofilm, I just ordered bacter ae. Hope it helps. As for the shrimps..I actually dunno what species they are. I just buy the ones I like...and not too expensive ones as I know during the learning curve, some are going to died. So I got red relli, golden back, cherry shrimps, tiger and some royal black. Also some black ones..dunno what species they are. But have since stop buying. Setting the problem first. Guess I need to go figure which is which species'

You need to buy Neocaradina they will all be suited to your 5g when stable
Caradina need spasific water I suspect this is why your first lot died,
When you get the Bacter ae start off by putting no more than a ¼of the supplied scoop to start and just once a week for 4 weeks then after that you only need to put in what my photo shows once a week, this is the back end of the spoon.
Put the amounts in a drop of aquarium water and shake to devolve it will disperse better
