All My Females Keep Getting Killed

20 high mbuna grow out, first female to be killed was a red zebra about a month ago but I didn't think too much of it since I know mbunas can be super mean, then last week a I found a snow white socolofI that I thought had gotten stuck under a rock, but then just a few minutes ago I saw all the males gang up on and kill another female red zebra and pushing it under a rock in the process, so it seems likely that the same could've happened to the snow white. I now have 2 female auratus, 1 female kenyi, and 1 female snow white left with 4 males, an even ratio, but I'm pretty sure there should be at least 2 females to one male.
What should I do?
Should I get rid of all the females and go the all male route? or vice versa?

20gals is not suitable as a grow-out tank for more than a few mbuna at a time. How large are they all now? Sounds to me they should of been moved to a larger tank quite a while ago.

 

The smallest are maybe one and one quarter inch, the largest are around 2". My plan was to have them in a larger tank by now, but issues keep coming up with the cycle, including a surprise family trip. I think I might have to go with a fish in cycle, maybe a few mollies to get it done.

You even move half of your bio media into to the new tank to help jump start it if you extra media

 

I might just take the smaller filter from the 20 and put it next to the filters on the other tank
