All-in-one Remedy To Fix Fin Rot?

Has anyone had any positive or negative reactions to using MarineLand All-In-One to treat Fin Rot in a Betta or other freshwater fish?

I had an associate at a PetSmart highly recommend it to me when I went in for a water testing (test came back exceptional in all categories of parameters). They said a coworker's Betta had a bad case of fin rot and they used it and it worked for them.

I've already tried an entire dosage round of API Fin and Body cure but haven't seen any results thus far.

You can save money by just having very clean water, a cycled filter, a good tank size and maybe some IAL. If you are really set on getting meds, I recommend malachite green as it's cheaper than others usually'.

Tank is a 3.5 gallon aquaponics with a Gold Ribbon plant growing out of the top and a Marimo Moss Ball inside. I normally do about a 40-50% water change weekly (if this is likely the problem for why he has fin rot I can most certainly increase the changes to more than once a week).

I don't believe any of the pet stores in my area have IAL but I have been looking into ordering some online. As for the malachite green, I will look into that. But I heard it normally treats Ich and Velvet. Does it work for Fin Rot as well?

Hmm, I'd really recommend a new setup with a filter (shoot for 5 gallons) as stagnant water gets awfully dirty & allows bad bacteria growth. Plus it doesn't cycle. In that setup you'd need daily 50% water changes or so.

I'll see about upgrading to a larger tank size once I'm able to afford it. The tank I have currently does have a pump under the Gold Ribbon that keeps the water moving so it's not completely stagnant. I'll start doing more water changes though to see if that works.

The tank I have is this one .
