Good evening all, I was wondering if it's a good idea to supplement by Blood Red Parrots with algae wafers? If so, what kind? Thanks!

They're not an algae eating species, and wouldn't get much nutrition from them. You could feed them herbivore wafers instead if you're looking to supplement the herbivorous part of their omnivorous diet.

    Links of interest above.

My Bloody Parrots love to rip up and eat the Romaine lettuce above, however, I try to keep an eye on them as I have had 1 Bloody Parrot to choke to death when the lettuce got stuck. Even though the mouths are deformed, they still manage to eat like regular fish. (for the most part)

None of my fishes mouths close completely. If you will look directly into the fishes mouth, you will notice the mouth actually opens and closes inside the parrot shaped beak.

There are times when my Bloody Parrots will steal the algae wafers I have stuffed in sliced zucchini for my bottom dwellers, rare, but it does happen. No issues, however, I do not specifically feed algae wafers to my Bloody Parrots.
