Albino Cory Catfish Eggs?

Hey, so I have a small tank with two albino cory catfish in it, a snail and a beta. I’m not sure but I think one of my cory catfish laid eggs? Does any one know what this is, I’ve included pictures. It’s weird because it isn’t under water nor are the eggs separate like I see in most pictures.

Those are actually eggs layer by the mystery snails, they lay their eggs above water. I would remove them unless you want a ton of snails in that tank or if you have other tanks you can put the babies in there.

Welcome to Fishlore.
I’d agree they are snail eggs, corys don’t lay eggs above the water line nor do they look like that, looks like you’re going to have some snail babies

Oh cool! So are they asexual because I only have one. Should I just leave them alone or should I remove them, what’s the best think to do for the health of my tank? Will the betta eat them if they hatch?

Are snails asexual? Will the betta eat them? I do have another tank but the filter isn’t running right, do they have to have filtered water?

The only snails I have ever had were the pests (ramshorns) and the problem solvers (assassins) so I can't answer your question. I know what both snail and cory eggs look like though so knew what these were.

Mystery snails are actually one of the few snails that are either male or female, they’re not hermaphroditic (meaning they have both male and female sex organs). So you just happen to have a female that is laying infertile clutches I personally believe they have the possibility of hatching, but they more than likely won’t live very long. I wonder if they’re anything like infertile gecko eggs - sometimes female geckos will lay a clutch of eggs without ever having been mated. And SOMETIMES they actually turn out to be fertile and hatch - but since there was no male, the baby gecko is a clone of the mother. I wonder if infertile snail eggs are anything similar.

It is possible that the snail mate does before you bought her.
They can store sperm for up to 6 months(I think).
