Fun, and nice. Algae is so annoying in a tank isn't it.....You see all these beautiful clean tanks with plants etc. and no Algae....

I have lots of lava rock, I am about three miles as the crow flys away from a volcano, and I wanted to know if it would be good or bad to put it in the shrimp tank? Is it good? Is it bad? How much should I put in?

Shrimp will love the lava rock and so will any babies. I scrub mine with just water and vinegar and then pour boiling water over them 2-3 times. Or they can sit in boiling water but DO NOT BOIL THE ROCKS THEMSELVES. They could explode. Hornwort is also great.

That’s a personal preference really, how much decor you want. Your shrimp won’t really care. I’d do at least two myself. Just play around with it once you add plants and stuff. You’ll find what looks best to you.

Looks good; I used to breed mystery snails in totes like that but never thought to actually scape them. It's tough to say for sure, but those white things look like cyclops to me. Free fish food.

I find shrimp super entertaining to watch, I think I can sit and watch them even longer than my fish tanks.

BTW, that yellow patch is a "saddle" of unfertilized eggs, usually once that shrimp molts she will end up berried if there is a male in the tank.

My shrimp had babies while I was gone! I counted ten walking on the algae growing on the side of the tank, so that means there must be over 100 since I have so many hiding places. Also I added a heater today and set it to 72

Do you even need a heater? Neos are pretty tolerant and can tolerate cooler temps.

Probably not, but their is no insulation in our house, so Incase the weather decides to be cold, so will my shrimp, I might move the heater to a different tank if I get one
