I noticed my lemon tetras being a bit aggressive today... what surprised me was how they went about it... I assume they are establishing a pecking order, but do they also establish territories? one of them seems to be claiming the middle of the tank... but unlike my rasbora which "shimmy" next to one another, this lemon tetra angled itself at almost 45 degree angle and then swooped down to attack the other one. It look like a fighter jet swooping down. First time I notice this and was wondering if others knew what they may be up to.

Just males jousting for position. They may pick a favorite spot and protect it, but they are not all that territorial.

Ok good to know. Was surprised when I first saw it... I thought my lemon tetra was on it's way out when I saw it swimming horizontally.. glad it's not sick or anything
