My Female Dwarf Gourami (Chrisandra) has never shown aggression to another fish until recently when I decided to add my Pearl gourami male (Guinness) to the tank.

The tank is a heavly planted 46 gallon.
Chrisandra has been in the tank for a long time and is quite large. (2.5 inches maybe)
While Guinness is around 1.5 inches and is new to the tank.

Chrisandra will chase him the second he gets in her sights.

I recently moved him from a QT tank that he was in, into this tank, and he spends all of his time hiding.

    What should I do?

Either rehome one of the Gouramis or buy another tank to put the pearl in. I am not surprise she is showing aggression because Dwarfs are usually always aggressive especially if you put another gourami.

Moving him to the 30 is best, have you tried rearranging the tank?Finding a female DG around her is like finding hens teeth, and when I did it cost me $10.00
