Hi,
I have a around 6 month old clown dwarf pleco currently alone in a 60 litre tank. He was housed with a male betta however I removed him into his own tank after I saw the pleco attack him and it looked like he was trying to suck his body. (I’m treating him with salt baths for the wounds and he has almost healed)
This was around 2 months ago so now I have decided to keep them permanently separate mainly because I’m scared however I do not want to keep the tank empty and I was thinking of getting some female Bettas. But I’m not sure what to do regarding my pleco.
At the time this happened I had 1 hiding space for the pleco and only one piece of driftwood and I’m hoping that was the reason not because he is aggressive. I have since added lots of hiding places and more driftwood and I rarely see him.
do you think I am able to get some female Bettas or shall I keep him alone? I really don’t want to rehome him as I would feel awful
