aggressive angelfish babies?

I have a 55 gallon tank with a few plants and lots of shells, caves, hiding places, etc. Also, a powerhead and a fluval 405 filter. There are currently 4 zebra danios (soon to be 7 - I had a couple babies die, but intend to keep a full school), 1 spiny eel, and 1 baby striped raphael.

I recently added 3 baby angelfish - bodies are about the size of a quarter, under 3" including their fins. They seem to be curious but are destroying my tank. They ate my 3 snails - I don't know why the snails didn't do anything, I literally watched the angelfish eat the head off one of the snails (sorry for the gruesome detail) and the snail did not do anything except sit there. Anyway, 2 of my zebra babies died - I don't know if this has anything to do with the angels or not. They constantly nip at my eel and everything else. They seem to be friends, and do not bother each other at all - they seem to just be exploring, as they bite at everything in the tank very curiously - the powerhead, the filters, the rocks, etc - not just living animals. I don't think they're trying to be aggressive, but I'm agraid they're going to hurt my other fish/eel! Any ideas?

I'm wondering if they could be hungry - they always seem to want to eat. I will start feeding them twice/day and see if that helps. Right now they get fed once/day, as much as they want - they seem to stop eating after about 5 minutes, so I feed them as much as they can eat in about 7 minutes. The raphael gets granules and the eel gets shrimp.

Oh, and there are 2 black veil and 1 leopard angel. Idk whether they are males or females.

Thank you!

This is typical angel behavior.
I would add more hiding places for the eel and catfish.

Try feeding twice a day as well.

I'd add that angelfish are notorious beggers. Do not give in every time!

That is an understatement!!!

Angels would eat until they explode if you let them. It is best to feed them smaller amounts 2 or 3 times a day until they reach half dollar size. Then, slowly cut back to once a day.

Young angels also need a variety of foods. I start introducing fresh vegys very early. Plus add brine shrimp and blood worms to give them the protein they need.

Good luck raising your new fishy friends.

ok - I already feed the eel shrimp, so I'll give them some. I put a pea pot in the tank and they didn't eat it - what kind of vegetables are safe and enjoyable for them?

Individual peas with the outer shell removed is the way to feed them peas.

has anyone found a particular veggie that their fish would eat? I've tried peas, corn, squash, and broccolI - all cooked and soft, and they don't eat any of it

Cucumber works well with my angels. I put a slice in for my pleco and they swarmed it
