Just wondered if anyone else has had trouble with the black sailfin mollys being agressive. He constantly harrasses the females but the biggist problem is with him chasing my dalmation mollys around agresssivly constantly.

Non of my other fish are like this I think he just as a serious attitude problem with the dalmation mollys. I am moving him to a tank by his self do you think il every beable to release him bk into the main tank or will he be like this forever? I also have silver mollys in mm tank tetra and guppys and he does not bother these fish at all I think hes just a bully. Any advice would be great all my water readings are fine also.

Sometimes males get too aggressive. That's why it's always best to have three females to every male to distract them.

A few days time out should be good. If he doesn't calm down then you may have to get rid of him or keep him in a male only tank OR by himself.

Il put him in the tank tomorrow and leave him ther for a few days by him self. I do have a lot of female mollys but she is the only 1 he bothers constantly. My gran and aunt ar currently buying tanks and taking up the hobbie as these are pretty easy fish to look after I guess il have to give him to 1 of these once ther tanks have cycled.

The fact my family are now taking up fish keeping well I no longer have to worry about getting rid of my fry as they said they will take them off my hands instead of buying fish from the lfc. I hate having to get rid of fish as I see them as I would any other pet cat/dog ect but it has to happen unfortunatly .

Well then maybe your Black Molly is either trying to get the Dalmation Molly to give birth prematurely or he doesn't like her.

Glad your family is getting into it . Mine never did.

my dalmations are both male and female that he is attacking I had 2 larger 1s and they both died due to stress of him chasing them around constantly I don't no what is problem is he just seems to really really hate them. Hopefully shouldnt be a problem now I know I can rehome him. Iv just never had a fish this aggressive before hes sucha bully.
