After bacteria bloom

JitsuMitsu

Hello, i got a bacteria bloom a month in and now it’s clearing up and my ammonia went from 0 to around lime green. 0.25-0.50. Nitrite might’ve went up maybe 0.25 but more blue still. I added some prime to it because my axolotl is in it. 20% water changes should help keep it down. And continue watching?

I'm not sure what the question is I'm sorry, but if you are doing a fish in cycle the main priority is making sure to do lots of water changes to make sure to keep the ammonia and nitrite levels down.

Also make sure you use seachem prime as your water conditioner because it makes the ammonia and nitrite non toxic. This may slow down the cycle but your top priority should be the dishes health.

I use seachem prime always with water changes. It’s been a month of having the tank. But i randomly had bacteria bloom few days ago. It’s finally starting to go away. Still some floating in the water though.
