African Dwarf Frog Keeps Floating

I walked past my tank and didn't see my ADF and was really confused. I found her sitting on top of one of the fake plants, still alive, but just kind of sitting there. Someone else was watching my frog for the past couple of days, but she wasn't like this when I got home last night. She'd try to swim to the bottom and float back up to the top. ): I fed her some brine shrimp because she looked a little thin (maybe she wasn't getting fed enough while I was gone), and she seemed to be able to stay at the bottom easier. Even though she seems better, I'm still concerned... is there anything specific that would cause her to float like that?

I have a 10 gallon tank with her and a blue mystery snail. The pH, ammonia, nitrites and nitrates were all at good levels. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like bloat, but since I've never really kept them I'll call Lucy. Hope you buddy gets better.

She looks physically pretty normal and she's not showing physical signs yet, but you could be right ): should I separate my snail from her if that's what it is?

Could you post a photo? I wouldn't separate the snail, it shouldn't affect her/he.

She looks a little plump in this picture but it's the best picture I could get and I had just fed her. With bloat, don't the arms/legs swell up too? Not saying that's not what it is, just so I know to look out for that. There's nothing you can do for bloat, is there? :/

They like to float/lounge sometimes for hours at a time. Is this new behavior? She looks pretty normal in the photo.

What else is she being fed? Anything else going on that is different/new. Any changes in water parameters?

She looks of normal size to me as well. Females are a bit broader and plumper than males
Like Maggie said they do like to float or perch on a plant to chill.

Just to check...what are the exact readings of ammonia, nitrite and nitrate (prior to any water changes you might have done after you noticed her floating).
If the readings weren't checked before a water change what are they now?

Maybe this can help, this is by one of the members on here, check the last post.
Can adfs get bloat or swim bladder problems?

It is more so uncontrollable floating. Like she was trying to stay at the bottom and couldn't. The ADF I got with her sat on the leaf sometimes, but he died about and month and a half into having him, seemingly out of nowhere. That happened in August, so this is completely separate, and the snail was introduced a couple of months ago.

I alternate with blood worms and bribe shrimp. I've tried feeding her an assortment of pellets and flakes and she's never interested. I haven't introduced anything new or changed anything about how I care for her. The water parameters have been stable.

I did do a water change and checked the parameters before and after doing so.
Before:
pH was around 7.3-7.4
Ammonia was at 0ppm
Nitrites were at 0ppm
Nitrates were at 20ppm

After:
pH was around 7.2-7.3 (just barely lighter than the first time)
Ammonia was at 0ppm
Nitrites were at 0ppm
Nitrates were around 5ppm

I'm glad you guys think she looks normal. I might be overreacting but it really didn't seem normal.

OK good, glad to hear that. She is past when chytrid fungus would show up. I have 3 ADF's now, but lost 3 to chytrid in the past. I hope yours does well & is ok.
