I have a 40 gallon br and I was wondering about African Cichlids. How many will be comfortable in a 40 gallon be? Or what type of species can I have.

really depends what you want ie what lake. mbuna's are smaller and you can get several in a 40B.
Peacocks are pretty neat too but they get bigger.

Check out demasoni's or Johanni's is that what you are looking for that look?

I definitely like the look of most cichlids from lake Malawi. If there a similar size can I get different types of cichlids or should I just stay with 1 type in a tank?
