eeeep!! I agree with Dch48, it does look like a fungus. if you can get your hands on apI fungus cure, i'd treat asap so you can to save his life! it does look like there's some blood, but I don't think an infection would quite look like that? some fungI eats away at the flesh.

how long have you had this frog? what is the tank size, tank mates, water parameters etc.? did you just now notice this?

hmm... maybe it is from an attack, then. can you determine if it's a wound upon closer inspection? definitely quarantine him if you haven't already. give him fresh water to promote healing and maybe dab on some hydrogen peroxide or neosporin. i'm not sure what else to do poor little guy.

30 gallon tank two other dwarf frogs that had him and another one about 5 days and my first dwarf frog has been in there for 2 months and some tetras and water parameters are fine

Yeah I have been quarantined I just thought this maybe an infection someone is scene so I'm guessing they fight or nipping tetras

tetras can be nippy sometimes, right? and adfs can mistake others as food and will bite each other, but i've never seen them do any real damage.

pet store frogs these days, from what i've seen from all the threads on this forum and the frogs i've tried to get (all 3 died and killed my 4th that was exposed to it), are very susceptible to illness such as bacterial or fungal infections (mostly chytrid). one of your new frogs could have carried something nasty from the store. either it took over overnight or he got a wound and made him more vulnerable to infection.

i'm not sure if pimafix is a great choice for animals with lungs such as adfs because of the oil in it, but you can try it. plus adfs have no scales for protection, so they absorb medications much more easily through their skin. not a long of meds that are fish-safe are frog-safe, unfortunately. it's important to keep an airstone in with him for added aeration and help him easily reach the surface for air.
