Any thoughts on dwarf gouramI with an ADF? Ive heard mixed opinions about whether ADFs should be confined to a species only tank. I realize I am somewhat limited with a 10 gallon. I would like some very colorful fish, which is why I was thinking about a dwarf gourami. May dwarf gouramI and a few guppies or neon tetras?

I am fairly new to this so advice is greatly appreciated!

Really? Wow I thought neons would be okay. Just for future reference, what makes a neon tetra incompatible with a 10 gal?

They're schooling fish, and they're fairly active.
I wouldn't put a schooling fish over 2.8 cm (1.1 inches) in a 10g. Neons get 1.5 inches. Ember tetras, celestial pearl danios, emerald dwarf rasboras, and chilI rasboras are better options for a 10g. Also refer to the list TexasDomer linked to for more options.

I am thinking about switching to a 20 gallon. Could I do a gouramI and tetras in that vase?

Thanks for all the advice! I would hate to have unhappy fish
