Advice Needed Related To Anchor Worm

Hello all... I recently had noticed anchor worm attached to one of my fish, so I have separated that fish but I read online that female anchor worm lays eggs and my tank maybe infected. So my question is should I start medicating the tank?
As I don't see any other fishes affected.

I would suggest treating the tank. I believe you need to remove that worm from the fish as well not just QT it.

I'm using anchor worm medication which says worm will automatically detach itself after 3days. So if it doesn't come out then will pull it out myself

WHat medication are you using?
Are you treating the whole tank or just the QT tank? I know you asked this question yourself, but I didn't see a response except that the anchor worms could have laid eggs in the main tank.

My little (repeat little) knowledge on anchor worms is:
1. Medicine used is to kill the larvae once they hatch from eggs - so you need to treat the main tank with Dimilin or metriphonate. The larvae live for around a week if they don't attached themselves to a fish at which point they change into worms.
2. Anchor worms should be detached from fish using tweezers. The medicine above doesn't affect the worms themselves. It only kills the larvae.
3. The life cycle of eggs - larvae - worm is around 25 days.

Like I said - I am no expert, but I cannot help but feel that if you have anchor worms, the treatment needs to be twofold:
1. get rid of the anchor worms (visible to the eye)
2. stop the life cycle by killing the larvae.

I'm using this product - . And I'm treating the whole tank along with QT tank.
And as suggested I had removed the anchor worms and have applied little bit of peroxide but I'm worried wound might cause secondary infection so should I add general aid also? or water changes should be enough?

I would go by the instructions on the container.
I did however notice that in one of the comments on amazon one of the purchers mentioned adding a second dose but just for maintenance purposes.

There seems to be some real positive comments on the medicine, so you seem to have chosen the right product..... but the mention of "Sole owned secret formula" sounds a bit strange - but as long as it works and doesn't affect other inhabitants of the tank, you should be ok
