ooops forgot to actually write something? um, yesterday I bought 2 clown loaches, when I put them into the tank they were fine, today when I looked at them they were burried in the gravel, when they came out for food they were fine then after that they wedged themselves in a small gap between a rock and the glass. is that normal or are they unhappy?? can anyone help me please?

I've never had clown loaches, but do have yo yo loaches. I think your clowns are just looking for hiding places. My yo yo's are constantly popping out of nowhere. The more hiding places you have for them, the more you will see them because they feel secure.

just went onto a website for clown loaches. apparentley they like a lot of hiding places, and unfortunately we haven't got many, they advise pipes or bamboo, they like the shade, awy from the aquarium lights. they are also better in groups and not just 1 of them in a tank with others. they are middle to bottom dwellers. also they like being in a tank with other peaceful fish, and another reason why they could be hiding is if they are being bullied, I don't think that's the case in my tank, infact I'm sure it isnt. :-*

Heres an excellent place to get information on clown loaches

My clown loaches like to squeeze into the smallest places they can find. They will even snuggle up together. They are wonderful fish and will take a little bit to acclimate to the tank.
