He feeds them organic seeds. I despise the little buggers. They creep me out, so I will admit a demented enjoyment out of feeding them to my babies.

I did go ahead and bread my green vieltales at the request of my husband and the pet store owner( friend of ours). She said her customers request greens, and she never gets them. She, Sam, is helping with the spawn.

Feed the fry microworms first and then BBS. They do better with the smallest food first.
I would stay away from VT next time you breed, and educate the store owner about betta care since most think they are ok in bowls.

Sam and I had a long conversation today about the fish. Most of which consisted of this thread. She went, non gospel, I will say on her fish provider. Her sign out side her store now says, Fish from breeders only, green Bettas coming soon. We are both emersed in the knowledgeable thread. We both love y'all, for yalls smarts and insights

Awesome! I've heard stories about males tearing up the females and killing them before they finish. I'm wanting to breed fish soon but I don't have the stuff.

They should hatch tomorrow. I'm glad your LFS is a good one, most are only in it for the money.

The store is ran by a child hood friend, she has been complaining about the Bettas she was sent. She was using the same provider as walmart. Sadly half the fish arrived riddled with ich or dead. So she is willing to help me with breeding Bettas. The aquariums have been emptied, 50 cents for all fish,( with understanding for reason), and we shall restock with breeder only and my bred Bettas in the future. We are currently recycling all 30 tanks. Which are ten gallons each. 27 fresh, 3 salt.

I'm excited, BTW, I have not only a new hobby. But yet a job and purpose.
