ADF floating ):

m1kyy

So, for multiple days since I got my dwarf frog she's been agitated and frantically trying to leave or "swim out" of my tank, and seemed very bothered by something. Whenever she tries to swim to the bottom she floats up again and again.. so she's been hanging out at the top of my tank, floating still for hours on end while sticking her nose out the water. I don't know what to do, she doesn't eat either.

My tank isn't fully cycled yet, and since this morning all my plants and rocks have been covered in thick biofilm. With a close eye I noticed the frogs are coated in it too, unless that's something else.

.

My tank isn't fully cycled yet,
Like we talked about in your other thread, it's most likely this.
Did you have your water tested today?

If you haven't done a water change today it would be a good idea to do one.
Frogs will often try to escape if the water is irritating them.

The plant was as marked as safe for aquariums?

What the the temperature of the water?

hello again, I did a 20% water change yesterday. The plants are marked safe for aquariums, I mean it was in the aquarium section of the store.. The temperature is 76° f. I couldn't get the water test today but I will do one tomorrow for sure, I'll reply when I do.

I greatly appreciate your help ^^

so I did my water test and the readings went well! nitrites are down to 0

nitrate: 0
nitrite: 0
hardness: 0
chlorine:0
alkaline: 4.0 (low)
PH: 6.8
ammonia: 0

update.. she's shedding in tatters now, and still acting weird. I'm just really frustrated because I've literally done everything I can and the parameters are fine.. If she does have a disease that means my other one has it as well, and my water will be infected with it.

Not sure what to advise now. Do a search about low pH and cycling. I know it effects it but I don't know how. With 0's accross the board the tank is either not cycled or the water was changed right before testing.

You might want to consider dong lamisil baths.
Instructions are at the bottom of this sticky

Never having done it myself, I can't vouch for it but several members have used it successfully and the authors have a great deal of exprience.

thank you for the response, I'll definitely keep it in handy for next time. because unfortunately I do not have the time to be treating sick frogs myself, so I'm just going to return them since they can do that there.
