Adding zebra danios.

So I wanted to add a school of zebra danios or glo fish danios because there apparently hardy, but I've seen so many things saying how there genetically inbred and die very quick or develop spine problems. Should I get some, are they worth it or will they just die like other people have said they will?

Pros and cons to danios.
Pros:
Very hardy
Hyperactive, very fun to watch
Lots of personality
Will eat almost anything you give them
Generally peaceful
Cons:
Can develop spinal issues
Sometimes can be nippy with long finned fish like bettas and angelfish

Will they die? Depends on how they are cared for.

Are they worth getting? That is all a matter of opinion, really, but I would say there totally worth it! Just my opinion, though.

I think they prefer cooler water than most people provide.

They are a short lived type.

They swim at the top mostly but will take food from the bottom too.

They are too active for some people who want peaceful tanks.

I have never personally owned them, but I see them in store and on YouTube. Not everyone has spinal issues with them, but there is still a chance it could happen.

One more con too.
Since they are so active, they aren't great for slow moving fish, so what other fish do you plan on having with them?

You can mix regular and glo types. They are the same fish just different color genes. I keep mine with java loaches and cherry shrimps.
