Hi
So my ten gallon aquarium is finally done cycling, and I was planning to add snails to clean up algae and be tankmates with my betta, I'm considering getting one horned and one zebra or tracked nerite. Does this sound okay?

I feel a little silly having such a big aquarium for only one fish, is it possible that some bacteria will die off because the tank is understocked? I was cycling with 2ppm of ammonia that gets cycled in 24hrs.
I'm thinking that two snails will boost the ammonia to feed the bacteria... And horned nerites apparently have an even lower bioload than regular nerites... So two of each would be fine right?
Thanks for the help!

You'd be fine with 2-4 nerites and a betta in a 10g, just be sure to supplement the nerites a couple times a week with some fresh veggies as that many nerites in a 10g will surely appreciate the added foods!
