I have a 75 Gallon tank with 7 Guppies, 3 blue Gourami's and 2 powder Gourami's and 1 bristle nose pleco. I have the API freshwater salt, however from what I read this may be bad for the bristle nose pleco. I read that salt is good for the fish but I recently added a pleco so I'm wondering is it still possible to add salt or a certain type of salt?

Salt isn’t ‘good for the fish’. Freshwater fish prefer no salt. What it’s good for is preventing some diseases, such as fungus.... but fishkeeping is a learning curve and by using salt you can have less than perfect conditions and not realise, and not learn much, except that you can’t keep fish without salt.
A bit extreme maybe, but it happens. A lot of people come to rely on salt, because they never learned how to keep fish without it.

Plecs are less tolerant of salt than most of the freshwater fish we keep, another reason why I wouldn’t.
