My tank has been established for a few months now, and my tank had too little gravel (only 10 lbs), so I went out to Petco and bought an additional 10 lbs + some gravel accents. I did not remove the old 10 lbs, so now my tank has a total of 20 pounds of gravel.

Do you think I will go into a mini-cycle?

Thanks

No you shouldnt go into a mini cycle...you have added to the ability of the bacteria to find more surface to adhere to not removed beneficial bacteria

Oh, okay thanks But also, I put the new gravel on top of the old one. Would this be a problem?
