I wanted to get new fish today, but I'm also starting treatment for external parasites.

Should I wait until the parasites are cleared up before adding new fish?

Or could I add new fish during treatment, and it should just clear everything up?

My thought is on the off chance one of the fish from the LFS have parasites, it'd clear that up too all at once while I have them all in the main tank.

I don't have a quarantine.

I guess so, but the medicine is quite stressful for fish so if the new fish doesn't have a disease then that would be unnecessary stress.

I wouldn't add anything until the parasites are under control, why chance getting new fish infected? Do you not quarantine new fish before introducing them to your tank?
