So I think my tank is pretty well cleared up after my ICK go around, but I am thinking about still waiting awhile before I fill my tank back up. Problem is, it's nearly empty and will be after I take my Gourami's back to the store.

The question I have is how long should I wait until I begin adding new fish after the ICK is gone?

I would wait two weeks after the last fish is no longer showing signs of ich. If the tank becomes empty of fish, two weeks after the last fish was removed should be a safe time.

    I hope this helps.

That's a very generous store to take back fish that are diseased. Wow!

I agree with bolivian that 2 weeks is an acceptable timeframe.

If the tank is cycled, but going to be empty for a couple of weeks, be sure to add an ammonia source so you don't lose your cycle.

Yeah I was thinking about waiting another two weeks before I put any fish back in.

The Gourami's are going to be exchanged when I go to buy new fish so the tank will only be empty for maybe a couple hours.
