Hi everyone,

After reading about the benefits of adding CO2 I am leaning towards setting up a simple CO2 setup.

I will have a sump feeding a 55gal tank.

Do you guys think it's ok to to setup the CO2 diffuser in the sump with the return pump?

I've attached the sump design showing where the pump would be.

I don't see why not. It will give the co2 bubbles more time to diffuse going through the return pump and that co2 will be dispersed quite well. If your return nozzle creates a lot of surface agitation, I would aim it lower, that way you won't lose a lot of the co2 to the atmosphere.

the return is currently pointing flat with the surface. i will tip it down when i finalize the setup
