Will adding another filter (uncycled) to an already established tank have adverse effects??

 

Nope. If you plan on removing the old one make sure to run them both for at least a month to colonize it with bacteria. Otherwise, two HOBs running together is just fine.

Agreed. The more filtration the better as long as your fish are not being blown around the tank by the current.
