Added fry to new tank & got a question (pics)

Here's the 1mos old platy fry and there new home ....
Can I add a 2mos old platy or will it eat them?

I added it ....
so far no one has suffered the wrath of the 2mos old!
I stood by with my net. LOL

I didn't really think there would be an issue. The older one might chase the babies occasionally, but I doubt if any harm will come to them. It's just been so long since I've had fry that I wasn't 100% sure it was safe.

It's all new to me. I just didn't want my daughter (7y) to come home from school to find no more babies ...

The only way the two month old could eat them is if they were so small that they could fit in its mouth. From what I can see the two month old looks like it is large enough that it would be safe in the tank with the adult Platy.

BTW the two month old looks like a nice female.

Thank you for your photos! My platy just had babies, and it was nice to see the stages of growth. They look so funny when they're first born! A droplet of fish with two eyes!
