Activ-Betta? Has anyone tried this link in thread

I was looking for some smooth fake gem pebbles for my betta tanks when I came across this type of gravel. Apprantly it has BB for instantly cycling your betta tank I am suspicious... It does come in freshwater but any ideas or experiences with this? I am just wondering if it's more snake oil..

 

Probably a load of crud. Wouldnt trust it as far as I could throw it. Which may be far, but I still wouldnt trust it. If you have a Dollar-Tree they have the coolest bags of river stoned, buy 1-3 bags, pay $1 each and just wash them off when you get home. I LOVE them.

It's kinda cool how over time we find cost effective ways to make our aquariums look better than the expensive stuff in some cases

I used it and it helped but it still took 3 weeks to cycle the tank.

 

I ended up just using the stones and pebbles that came with the 50 gallon I bought on kijijI (Canadian Craigs list pretty much) I washed the pebbles don't worry folks Solitarianknight you're lucky I live in hamilton and in the summer it's awesome gets into some hot days for us at least. It gets to be about 105 on a really hot day and mostly 80-90's BUT!! Soon as September through march sometimes it's still kinda cool in may now it gets cold. I mean 20 degrees and lower lol so no FTS for me Thanks for all the feed back folks
