Acclimation From Stor

How do you all like to acclimate fish/shrimp from a lfs say only 1-2 hours away from home?

I’ve read and watched a lot on the plop/drop methods for shipped fish and would definitely side with this method if I was receiving shipped fish.

However unsure whether to go with a full drip method or something in between.

Thoughts?

When it’s at your house, float the fish in the bag. Put 5e bag with the fish in it in the tank so it can get used to the temperature, and around every 10-15 mins, add a little of the tank water so the fish can get used to the PH.

I temp acclimate for 10 mins then open up the bag and add some water with a cup every few minutes then net him.

I always float to temp. I've never had a death by floating and then slowly adding tank water. And I've never had a death with plop and drop. I actually prefer plop and drop now, because it seems less stressful to the fish, to just get it over and done with instead of having to adjust to 10 different water parameters as water is slowly mixed in. And I know the lfs' pH is very close to our pH.
