Accepting or Rejecting Friend Request in Fishlore

So what are the consequences of accepting or rejecting a friend request in fishlore?

I yesterday got a friend request from a member I do not remember interacting with. I looked at his "about" part of his profile and I don't think we have much in common given that we have different tank sizes and different fish. However, I do not mean to be unfriendly.

On Facebook I would not accept a friend request from someone I do not know because that would give them additional access to stuff I post about my kids and such. However, here everyone can see my massages to forum anyway, and I am not as worried about the privacy of my fish as that of my kids.

So should I just accept every friend request I get on fishlore, or is there a reason not to?

You can set things so that you can only get PMs, or e-mails, or visitor messages, from friends. That's about the only thing it affects, I believe.

That's so weird. I dunno, I don't think I would like having fish nibble at me!

LOL messages massages ... Between my being born one of those darn foreigners and English thus being my third language, and my iPhone's autocorrect, I do get funky stuff at times.

Lots of them 0.0

Also, if we are having massages can we bring our own robes or are we getting FL robes?

I don't think there's a right or wrong answer. if you feel like accepting the requests, then great. if not, no harm. I think I pretty much accept the ones I get. even if I don't know them.

Eh, I just accept them.

I don't even know what it actually does.

Just throwing this out....I don't mind getting friend request or accepting them either. I don't even know the purpose for it on here though. It is all good in my book. I don't keep any personal information like phone number, credit cards, social security on fishlore.

However, I love getting a notification that I got mail ;-)

Good one

I think one person added me that I hadn't interacted with, but I accepted it anyway. The more the merrier! Since I have it set up that anyone can send me messages (or massages, as the case may be ) it doesn't really affect me one way or the other, but there are always warm fuzzies when I get a friend request.

Also, Joanna, I never would have guessed that English was your third language! Very interesting. I should start a "tell me something interesting about yourself" thread...

I accept every request. I already have plenty of enemies.
I need some friends now!

Facebook is a completely different story.
I opened an account, and had people I didn't know referring others I didn't know to be my friends???
