About mystery snail eggs and tips for caring for them.

So I have been recently surprised by some mystery snail eggs in my quarrinteen (Were in there because of some meds I was dosing in the big tank that would kill snails) for some reason my mystery snails refused to have eggs in the big tank but after a week of them being in in the quarrinteen they laid some and I have no idea how to care for them what to feed them when they will hatch and (Just curious) what the babies will look like and if I should remove the eggs from the side of the tank to a safer location.

They come out as very small versions of the parents, and you can feed them the exact same as the parents. You can just leave the eggs there on the side and they will hatch out and find the water. Make sure they are not submerged though.

Color is entirely dependent on the parent's colors

yep! My local Petco took my 80 baby snails when they were the size of a small gumball a few years back. I kept about 10 of them.

JMO - but try to set up homes for them before you grow them out if you do not have enough tanks.

About how big are those egg sacks ( I don't know if that is the right name for it)? My local pet store said that they would take them in exchange for something (Prime, fish, meds, ect. ).

Besides the pet store thing I know somebody, for some reason her mystery snails never had any eggs or anything but were breeding and she said she would want some.

Well there is one baby in every one of those circle eggs. If your snail is young it may not be as many.

So I guess around 30 - 40 babies in there! What does it mean if an egg is white?

Hmmm . . . I will have to look into that, when they hatch should I move them somewhere to try to protect them?

You can put them in a breeding net or something I suppose.

You could place the clutch in a plastic container with a lid. Make sure there are few holes in it. Put it on a damp paper towel and float it on the top. It will be like a little greenhouse.

Otherwise just leave them be, unless you have snail eating fish in the tank.

Probably just brown, maybe a small chance of another color if your snails have distant genes of another color.
