Abnormal anus?

Ok, this is actually about Colin's "anal pore", which according to my Google searches is the proper name for an angelfish anus. Colin's has always looked too large to be normal but with only 2 angelfish under my belt I hardly consider myself capable of knowing what's normal! Anyway, I keep watch on it fairly closely because for one, it's huge and I can't miss it, and for another I just don't trust that it's not going to result in a prolapse!

This morning I noticed that Colin has 2 poops, side by side(!) coming out of his anus! They are actually joined to form a loop but I have no idea how that would even be possible unless the leading edge got hung up somehow and folded back on itself

Help?!

Do you have a picture when he is not pooping to compare? Could he have had a prolapse in the past? Alison

I did wonder about that before because it does look awfully big. He's never had any trouble defecating though. At least not since I got him eating again!

I'll try to get a good picture when I'm home. He poops nearly constantly now though so you may have to wait a while

Any chance that's the breeding tube? I know when mine have their breeding tube out...and then they poop....it looks sort of like that....the poop coming out behind the breeding tube....

I don't think so. This is an "innie" not an "outie"

Here's the best picture I could get:
