A new setup Fish Tank

Hello everyone, I'm Nick. I just setup a new aquarium for my fren as a gift, in the tank have neon tetra, blue king tetra, Lamp eye. adly, just two days, 4 fishes died. And I dunno what's the cause and how to deal with it. Any idea on this problem? Thanks for your help.

hey titan, Welcome to our forum, did u cycle your tank? do u have any idea about cycling a new tank? if not, read the beginners guide and the nitrogen cycle topic on this site. what is the size of the tank?

yep, really need more info......when did you get tank? when did you add fish? has the water been tested by fish shop or yourself and make sure yu read those links!! they are vital to ensure no more fatalities. good luck, any help or questions do ask...

Do you have any fish left? If not, I'd recommend cycling your tank without fish and getting an apI master fw kit to watch the ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.. the links that gargoyle sent you will help you run a successful cycle and have a tank ready for happy fish. when you add fish, remember to stick to 1" of adult fish per gallon in your tank (with the exception of large fish that need more room)

If you do have fish left, use prime to treat your water and keep up with water changes (cycling with fish is discussed in those links also). Do you have any friends with cycled tanks?
