How old must they be to be considered adults?

Right now mine are two weeks old. I don't want anymore babies for awhile!
When should I separate the fry males from the females and what age will I be able to tell the gender?

I believe mollies can become mature in anywhere from 4 months to a year or more depending on the environment they are raised in, what they are fed, etc. Generally the younger fish cannot produce viable fry, but I would say separating them at about 3-4 months would be a safe bet if you can sex them at that point.

Depending upon how many times your Molly has had fry, she could have fry every month for several more months without any contact with a male. Great, ain't it?

I've read that fry can be sexually mature at 3 months but I've also read of people who had males that didn't develop gonopodium until 9 months.
