Help! I came home today to find my 2 month old tank sprang a leak somewhere near the bottom. Fish are in a bucket. How long can they go without a filter?

How many fish/what kinds , how large of a bucket?

Can you stick the filter on the bucket and run it?

6 CPD, 2 Threadfins, shrimp. They're in a 5 gallon bucket. I didn't think of that on my panic, thanks so much! I've got the filter running along with a heater.

Sucks!! I just got it set up too! Best of luck to you, too! I'm going to contact Marineland and see what they say.

I should think you'll be okay for a while. Check water parameters often to make sure everything is working correctly just in case. The fish won't be happy but they'll be okay.

Be cautious with the heater if it is sized for a much larger tank. It may overheat.

Thank you. It was in a 10 gallon tank, so I think it'll be okay.

Unreal! Mine was back in November, but still, they're new tanks!
