Hi, I know you guys have helped in the past. I’m thinking about redoing my stocking levels and wondering if this is too overstocked.
Currently in my 75 gallon tank I have
- 6 albino cory catfish
-3 angelfish
- 2 bolivan rams
- a female gold gourami
- 10 neon tetras
- 5 platys
- 8 harquelin rasporas
- 8 Priscilla tetras
- 6 zebra danios
And was thinking about adding
- 2 more albino cory catfish
- 3 more platys
- 4 more zebra danios

I wouldn't. Your tank is already a bit full, plus there's some clashing temperament issues. Some of the littler schooling fish could become food for bigger fish, and could nip at angelfish. And golden gouramis can get pretty aggressive. I would say it's fine as long as you monitor and make sure everything's fine within the tank.
I've gotta say, though, your setup would be my dream setup with a few adjustments. I love the look of keeping all of those smaller fish in such a large tank. It adds so much movement to the room. You've just got to make sure to take things slowly and be careful. For now I would say no to adding those fish.

Okay thank you for your response. I have had 2 of the 3 angels and my gold gourmai for a few years with at least my neons and so far everything has been pretty peaceful. I’ve gotten lucky with the temperant of my angels and gourami. They don’t seem to be agressive at all. As for the Priscilla tetras I’ll admit I didn’t do my research before getting them and the reputation of their fin nipping but I’ve had that school for about 6 months and no fin nipping.

If you’ve noticed no aggressiveness, then I’d say it’s fine how it is. However, I wouldn’t add any more fish without updating to a larger aquarium.
