That should be fine. I have a 100 watt CF Grow LED over the Chaeto in my sump (not very high above it either).

Yeah but you have it over a big sump. I have it 3/4”-1” above an AC110 diy refugium.

So it’s been awhile, but a little update. I had an Ich outbreak that took out everything except my Fox face, Melanrus wrasse and coral beauty. Lost my clown pair, spotted gobby and spot band butterfly.

As everything was new was quarantined I believe it was from an old outbreak that I just did t fully kill off. So this time around I transferred all my fish to QT treated with cupramine for two weeks and today is day 77 of fallow in main display.

with everything going on here in NY with Covid (mostly everything but essentials shut down since March 19th) I haven’t even really had the time or ability to check out new fish. So I believe my area will start reopening up soon so will see what’s out there in the next week or two.
