I am buying a 75 gallon aquarium here shortly and am wondering how many fancy goldfish should be added so I don’t overstock it. Ive had a 55 with 3 goldfish 2 years ago in it but sadly sold it for health reasons but I’m getting back in not quite sure how many are suitable for a 75. They’ll all be orandas.

    Thank-you!

I think around 5 or 6 would be the most. I would do 4 or 5

6 or 7. get it cycled, you can add about 3-4 at a time otherwise the excess bioload will cause a mini cycle

Okay thanks for the answers. I have a hard time remembering the goldfish rule, so I usually understock all my aquariums. Thanks again! I’ll probably go with 4 or 5 to be safe, after completely cycled of course.
