64 Gallon Fluval Roma Tank With 406 Canister

I have just finished cycling this tank and I’m looking for some bright colorful (non aggressive) fish that might make a good list... I think I’d like to stick to fish that will grow no larger than 2-3 inches... maybe slightly bigger...and ones that don’t need to necessarily be in large schools or shoals... not looking for many livebearers... I have quite a few tanks with Molly’s, swordtails and platys...so no need for anymore of them... I also have the green glofish tetras (but they are nearly impossible to get in Canada (Ontario) in any other type or color or fish, also I have no green thumb what so ever so it’s an unplanted tank (fake silk plants) I don’t mind adding some floating plants (no small ones like duck weed etc)
But just looking for some nice brightly colored fish that won’t overstock or reproduce like crazy like my platys lol
Any and all options are appreciated (FYI I don’t want any really small fish (the tiny ones like glow lights etc) I have no luck with them what so ever... lol and also no Betta’s I have 4 males in separate small tanks already
I also have a pleco already going in so fish that have a lower bioload would be ideal... but not too big of an issue
If you have any questions please feel free to ask...

Not a lot of fish fit that criteria. No livebearers or schooling fish.

How about
2-4 Bolivian rams
2-6 honey gouramis
1 male swordtail (yes it's a livebearer but one male isn't going to produce any fry)
3 dojo loaches
1 bristlenose pleco or rubber lip pleco
2 mystery snails
3 nerite snails
8 Amano shrimp

That would be pretty understocked. That stocking should be kept around 72-73f.

Or
1 or 2 angelfish
2-4 German blue rams
1 pearl gourami
1 clown pleco
(15 kuhlI loaches but they are schooling)
5 rabbit snails
4 nerite snails

This would also be understocked and should be kept at 80f

Or
2 fancy goldfish
2 or 3 dojo loaches
1 rubber lip pleco or bristlenose pleco
4 nerite snails

This stock should be kept around 68f

A large school of cardinal tetras would look really nice, if you wanted bigger (4-6 inches) I recommend bosemanI or turquoise rainbows.

Trying to remember the fish you can not have in Canada. Hard to keep track of the different countries. You guys and Austrialia do a bang up job of trying to keep your native ecosystems happy and healthy. I believe you can have rainbow fish. I would look into that. They are something you don't see in every single tank you look at. I may get some Blueback Blue Eye Rainbows for my next large tank.

Sorry I if I mis worded I don’t mind schooling fish if they are bigger... I just don’t have luck with small little tetras... no idea why but all parameters were met for them and they just kept dying off one by one... with no signs of disease or anything... even replenished the dead ones with new ones to keep the school big enough and the same thing happened lol
I also do not care for snails but other than that I like the list...
I have (in my other tanks tons of KhulI and horse face loaches and I love them so they were on my list too (forgot to mention them)
If I did:
2 angelfish
4 German blue rams
1 pearl gourami (or could I do 2 kissing gouramis)
Could I add any type of cichlids to this?
(I know there is a bit of aggression in some but I’m just not that familiar with them to know if they would be compatible with the list above and below lol)
The pleco I already have ready to go in (he’s in another tank but I’ll be moving him)
Maybe 8-10 loaches
Or instead of cichlids would the bosmanI or rainbow ones mentioned below types work better?

Pretty much the only ones we can’t get here in Ontario are the genetically modified glofish... we can get the “electric green” tetras but I already have 6 in another tank lol

Angelfish and German Blue Rams are cichlids. They are compatible at their higher and lower ends. I have two electric blue acaras in with angelfish. You may want to look into that. They are the show stoppers in that tank. You really wouldn't want a lot more in the tank. They are larger fish. I have a bristle nose pleco in with them.

What size is your tank? And sorry I’m tired... I’m not sure what you mean by compatible at their higher and lower ends ( like as in parameters)
