HI there!

Recently upgraded to a 60 gallon tank. Dimensions 48x12x24.75.

I currently only have the decorations from my 10 and 15 gallon that I consolidated into the tank with the below fish:
5x Female Platys
5x Neon Tetra
4x Peppered Cories

Will stock to:
5x Female Platys
11x Neons
11x Harlequin rasboras
10-15x Peppered cories
1x Rainbow cichlid OR a pair of Dwarf Gourami

Current plants:
1x Anubias Nana (foreground)
1x Wisteria (mid-ground)
8x Dwarf Sagitteria (background)

Equipment:
CaribSea Black Sand
Beamswork EA Timer LED Aquarium Light (not included in this pic, will pick up Saturday)
Big Als Multipurpose Fert

First question is, does anyone have any suggestions on how I should scape (is that the right term?) this? I am new to keeping plants but would love to get that going. Also any suggestions on decorations to fill out the space? I like my larger two pieces but will look to replace the plastic plants, they are just in there since they had BB on them.

Second question, would a pair of dwarf gourami work with my hoped for stocking? I was suggested the Rainbow Cichlid but am not 100% sold on the idea.

Any help would be great! First time with a tank this size!

Here is a link to the light that I have purchased, in case that helps. Looking for a low-tech tank!

I bought the same tank cause it was on sale yesterday.
Still listing other parts that I need to start my scape.
Did yours came with the LED and glass lids as well?
how did that do on your current plants so far?

It did come with LEDs and a glass top. Although I really don't think the LED will work for plants, I suggest getting a light specially made for plants with the full spectrum. I know they are expensive but from what I have read they are worth it. I am lucky to be close to the border and could order mine for cheap from the states.

That being said I did have a leaf open up on my anubias that was curled shut when I purchased it from the LFS so the light can't be horrible.

why not get this light? it already has a review from aquarium co-op and its really good for any planted tank. if light is not enough you can get 2 for around 100$ totally cheap.

I have this light, the tank is 48 inches long and the mounting for this light won't work on the tank. It is perfect for the 15 that I had before the upgrade

I have the nicrew as well on my 5 gallon tall and I do like it there but yeah mounting it not gonna work even if bought 2 unless I remove the stand and let it sit on the glass lid.

I found this do not much review but looking decent and cheap:

Otherwise I might just do the US border too it's just a 1 hour drive so we'll see
