55G Reef Lighting

We have a 55G FOWLR, as the light isn't good enough for even soft corals I don't think. I've been looking at LEDs and I have two that I'm trying to choose between right now. Finnex Ray2 Aquarium Day/Actinic LED Light or the Green Element EVO 48"-52" LED Aquarium Light Fixture - Reef Capable 32x3W. Those are the names on Amazon, I don't know if I'm allowed to post links. If you can't find them and it's ok I can post links.

If anyone has experience with either of these, or has any suggestions I'm open to hear them. As long as they are close in price. The only corals we will be putting in the tank are mushrooms and other low demand corals. It just has to be enough to keep those happy. I'd also like to have a fixture that sits on the rI'm slightly raised above the tank so I don't have to have a glass lid.

Our mushrooms are in the 20G long with our mean dottyback that we didn't want to move into the bigger tank with the other fish because that tank has a 96W light on it that they seem to be doing well under and powerheads. I'd like to get the mushrooms moved into the 55G as soon as possible. Our powerheads are on the way, so I want to order the lights pretty soon.

I think the Green Element would be better, and it has good reviews, but it has SO few reviews. The finnex bad reviews are a little scary too.

The reef evo may be a little too "white" looking for your tank since it only has 8 actinic leds but has 24 10k LEDs and may not make the mushrooms look all that great. They may grow fine, don't know for sure though since I haven't used those lights. When I have mostly the blue LEDs on the mushrooms look awesome on the bottom of my tank.

The light they are under right now is a 96W PC, no blue at all. It was a light I tried on a planted Freshwater tank before switching to LEDs and had it laying around when we started up the Saltwater tank. The EVO also has a switch allowing the blue and white lights to operate separately or together, which the Finnex does not.

I'm going to talk to the LFS tomorrow and see if there is anything like that he can order. He ordered my LED fixture for my 47G column tank and the price was reasonable and it does work. I think every time I look at lights I see something different.
