Started researching setting up a shell dweller tank, 5 gallon the 10g, then 20g finally got a 55g at the local $ per gallon sale.

So after doing some more searching and reading, new stocking plan, need some feed back?

Both of these guys are tough.

    N. pulcher
    Telmatochromis sp. "Temporalis Shell"

    N. Caudopunctatus

If no to the pulcher, I will have to redo the stocking list.

Why would you not be able to keep the pulcher? You could keep some calvus and some Syno. Petricola with them which would make a great tank!

    N. pulcher tend to want to kill everything when they have fry with them

The "Temporalis Shell" are tough so was hoping they could hold there own in the tank

Right, when you setup the landscape just have a TON of hiding spots, caves and shells. You shouldn't have much issues if they can hide from the wrath.

I had a shelly tank with with multis and petricola and enjoyed it a lot.

I love shellies! They have such a cute scowl on their face at all times. Like Grumpy Cat but it's the fish version!
